The fourth International Conference on Geological Repositories (ICGR) took place from September 30 to October 3, 2012, in Toronto, Canada. This conference brought together senior-level decision-makers from countries advancing programmes for the safe long-term management of long-lived high-level radioactive waste in deep geological repositories.
The conference, entitled National Commitment – Local and Regional Involvement, provided a forum for discussion to explore how various stakeholders are managing the implementation of repository programmes in their countries. International and national perspectives were shared as well as the experiences of local community hosts. In order to provide access to those interested but unable to attend, the conference webcast was recorded and is now available as an archive for viewing and reference until October, 2013.
