NWMO Study - 2002 to 2005

On November 3, 2005, the Nuclear Waste Management Organization concluded the first phase of its mandate by submitting its recommendations to the Minister of Natural Resources Canada.

After a comprehensive three-year study, engaging specialists and citizens from all walks of life, the NWMO recommended Adaptive Phased Management for the long-term care of Canada’s used nuclear fuel.
