Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with the NWMO!

The mission of the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) is to develop and implement, collaboratively with Canadians, a management approach for the long-term care of Canada’s used nuclear fuel that is socially acceptable, technically sound, environmentally responsible and economically feasible. Recently the NWMO consulted with a broad range of Canadians, in order to develop a siting process that will identify an informed and willing host community for Canada’s deep geological repository. The results of this dialogue were published in May 2010, marking the initiation of the site selection process.

The NWMO will be reviewing this process periodically with Canadians throughout its implementation, in order to ensure it continues to meet their needs and expectations. We invite you to share your thoughts.
