Why are we still using nuclear power when we know there is not a solution to disposal of nuclear waste at present? I have recently returned from the San Francisco area & it is obvious that they have made a considerable effort to harness the wind. Why are we not looking for alternate sources of energy? Nuclear waste is a colossal problem that will not go away. I do NOT believe that burial of nuclear waste is any kind of answer. The government needs to provide funding immediately to increase production of sun, wind & wave energy. Disposal of nuclear waste can be dealt with subsequently but we need to STOP producing waste. What a monstrous problem we are leaving to our children!!
