The NWMO Hosts Open Houses in Blind River, Elliot Lake and Area

This image shows an NWMO employee speaking with students at the Elliot Lake open house in April.

The NWMO's Blind River/Elliot Lake Relationship Manager Norman Sandberg is seen speaking to students who visited the Elliot Lake open house to learn more about the APM Project.

Community residents were invited to open houses in Blind River, Elliot Lake, The North Shore, and Spanish in April.

The focus of the event was on sharing information about the updated Adaptive Phased Management (APM) project description, new economic modelling and upcoming fieldwork in the area.

We encourage young people to participate in the Learn More activities as they will be involved in making choices about how Canada’s plan for the long-term management of used nuclear fuel will be implemented.
