Larry McCabe, Chief Administrative Officer of the Town of Goderich, examines a model of a used fuel container at the Central Huron open house.
Central Huron and area residents had an opportunity to learn more about Canada's plan for the safe, long-term management of used nuclear fuel at an open house held in Clinton on April 12-13.
Other topics of interest at the open house focused on discussions around the planning of next steps in Step 3: Phase 2 of the site selection process, including engagement and planning potential fieldwork to further the understanding of area geology.
