The NWMO Participates in Lucknow Job and Volunteer Fair

The photo shows an area man engaging in dialogue with the NWMO’s Cherie Leslie at the NWMO booth.

The NWMO's Cherie Leslie discusses the interim management of used nuclear fuel with an area resident during the two-hour fair.

The NWMO was pleased to participate in the first-ever Lucknow Job and Volunteer Fair held at the Lucknow and District Community Centre on August 30.

We were invited by the organizers to provide a local learning opportunity about Canada’s plan for the safe, long-term management of used nuclear fuel, including potential careers at the NWMO both now and in the future.

The event was well attended and NWMO staff were kept busy discussing various aspects of Adaptive Phased Management (APM), including project description, site selection process, and community well-being and engagement.
