Carol Yoder of South Bruce stopped by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) booth at the 33rd annual Mildmay Agri-Spiel held at the Mildmay-Carrick Recreation Complex on February 1st.

While visiting with the NWMO’s Dylan Luhowy, Carol learned more about the nature of used nuclear fuel (holding a model of a fuel bundle) and Canada’s long-term plan for its safe management.

The NWMO was pleased to provide a booth and help sponsor the event that drew 24 teams of curlers from the region’s agricultural community.
