An open house hosted by the NWMO at the Learn More Centre in Clinton on November 30 provided Central Huron and area citizens with several learning opportunities.
NWMO specialists were on hand to discuss and answer questions about Canada’s plan for the safe, long-term management of used nuclear fuel and Central Huron’s participation in the site selection process now underway: Phase 2 Preliminary Assessment Studies. Citizens were encouraged to help guide and provide input into the next phase of work, which involves fieldwork in the community.
The open house event also provided an opportunity for visitors to view the newly refurbished Learn More Centre and its selection of resource materials.
The Learn More Centre is located at 38 Albert Street in Clinton, Ontario. It is open Monday to Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. All are encouraged to visit.
